The fragrance dupe dataset
Every designer and niche fragrance we've note-matched to an affordable dupe, in one open file: 152 originals, each with both prices, the shared-note match score, the savings, and, unusually, the notes the dupe doesn't carry. Free to download and republish under a Creative Commons BY 4.0 license.
What's in it
One row per original fragrance. The columns:
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
| brand, original | The designer or niche house and the fragrance being duped |
| dupe_brand, dupe | The affordable fragrance that shares its notes |
| original_price, dupe_price | Price of each, in USD |
| note_match_pct | Shared-note match score, 0-100 (we only publish 60%+) |
| saving_usd, saving_pct | What the dupe saves you, in dollars and percent |
| shared_notes | The notes the dupe carries from the original |
| notes_not_shared | The original's notes the dupe does NOT carry, the honest gap |
| url | The Dupejoy page for that original |
Why we publish it
Most "dupe lists" are affiliate link dumps you can't check. Ours is derived from the same note-and-accord data that powers the site, including the honest gap, the original's notes the dupe leaves behind, so it's a dataset you can actually audit and cite, not a sales page. Prices and notes reviewed September 2026; fragrances reformulate, so re-pull periodically.

Common questions
Can I use the Dupejoy dupe dataset?
Yes. It's published under a Creative Commons BY 4.0 license, so you can download, republish, and adapt it, including commercially, as long as you credit Dupejoy with a link.
What's in the dataset?
Every designer and niche fragrance we've note-matched, paired with its closest affordable dupe: both prices, the shared-note match score, the dollar and percent savings, the shared notes, the notes the dupe does not carry, and a link to the full page. One row per original.
How are the matches decided?
By notes and accords, never by name. Each dupe is scored on how much of the original's key note structure it shares; we only publish matches of 60% or higher. Full method on our methodology page.
